About the Event
At the end of September of each year, thousands of visitors journey to Madison, Indiana for Southern Indiana’s premier outdoor juried arts and crafts festival, Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art. This festival is free to the public and designed for the whole family to enjoy.
Nestled among the tree lined streets of Madison’s National Landmark Historic District, 175 arts and craftspeople showcase their paintings, drawings, sculptures, wood carvings, baskets, jewelry, glass, textiles, pottery, artisan foods, soaps, leather, and more. No matter what your budget is, you can find something at the Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art.
Along the Ohio River between Broadway and Vine Street, there is more than art to be found as well. For the last 50 years, a committee of volunteers has worked hard to ensure this festival has something for everyone.
